A Portrait of Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! Did everyone have a great one? Usually Jeremy and I make arrangements for the grandparents to watch the kids so that we can have the day to ourselves. But this year we decided to hang out as a family! It was fun. We shot these photos before heading out to eat. At the restaurant the kids were smothered in kindness from the waiters/waitresses and other people eating there. “Here’s candy! Here’s a balloon!” Gotta love Valentine’s Day!

I’m a little bit smitten by this outfit. I love how the socks I happened to pick up perfectly match the penguins and polar bears on my dress. I also love how the colors of the scarf match my cupcake purse. And of course all the pink! It totally made my day how it all worked out! I think I’ll just wear this every day forever.

As per usual, the kids (completely not dressed yet) had to get in on the style shoot fun. Shade did her best to copy my pose and I have no idea what Atlas was doing…showing off his Hulk shirt? I’m not sure. But just like in my The Joys Of Being A Fashion Loving Mommy post, he cried until daddy told him he could get his picture taken too.

And I tried a jumping picture for the first time! It’s much harder than I thought it would be. Haha. It was fun, but I definitely need more practice!

  1. One of the few positive aspects of winter is a chance to wear cute penguin prints 🙂 I’m also super fond of the walrus peeking out from a picture frame on your socks! Plus the shoes and the cupcake purse (!!)–perfect! ❤
