As I’ve said before, I’m not really the type of person to go all out for Halloween. I like to reflect the Halloween spirit in a subtle and comfortable way. Not in a I-have-a-pound-of-make-up-to-take-off-later kind of way. Shade was Sheriff Callie. Atlas was the Jack Jr. to my Sally! And Jeremy was a pirate…if you couldn’t tell.
Halloween this year was actually a lot of fun! But also very, very busy. I don’t know of a good area to go trick or treating, so we ended up going to two different church carnivals on two different nights. One with my parents and one with Jeremy’s parents. Shade was pretty excited. I mean, pony rides, face paint, bounce houses, games, a glow in the dark puppet theater, a hayride, a train ride, and candy! What more could a kid want? And Atlas just loved running away from us whenever he got the chance.
I wish I could’ve taken pictures at the carnivals, but it got dark way too quickly. So we took pictures on a different day. Shade was just happy that she got to wear her Sheriff Callie costume again and she’s been saying that she wants to be a part of my outfit posts. Which is fine by me. Because, let’s be honest, I could learn a thing or two about posing from her.
Hope everyone had an awesome Halloween!
