I think I’ve mentioned before that Jeremy and I are hoping to buy a house next year. We’re still taking the necessary steps to get everything in order, but things are looking good for us and I’m very excited. So excited, in fact, that I’ve started to play with some ideas for a future living room. This one that I’ve created using Modani Modern Furniture is definitely my favorite concept.

I took a few items that I already own and mixed them with some amazing Modani Modern Furniture pieces. And there were SO many pieces of furniture that I absolutely fell in love with. It was hard to narrow it down to just the ones you see. But I love everything that I chose. Along with my personal style — lots of solid colors with a pop of pastel color — I also wanted to create an environment that my family would enjoy.

When I was little, my grandmother had a large mirror that hung on the wall behind her couch. I used to climb up on the back of the couch, sit there, and just stare into the reflection of the living room. I remember wishing that I could GO into the other living room. I knew it would just be a backwards version, but I still loved the idea of climbing through a mirror and travelling into another land. The idea filled me with such wonder that I found myself climbing up there pretty frequently and pressing my fingers into the glass…just to check. I kept that feeling in mind when I created my ideal living room. I want my children to feel that same sense of wonder. I want them to see our living room as a place to hope, dream, and create. I want them to see it as their very own Wonderland.
