3 Day Quote Challenge: Day Three – The Phantom of the Opera and E. E. Cummings

Welcome to the third day of my 3 Day Quote Challenge! If you’re just reading, I was nominated by the ever-amazing Krysten from Krystenfos and I’ve really enjoyed this challenge! This third one was a particularly hard choice for me. I changed my mind SO many times on what quote I would use. So I’m cheating and using two. But they’re both related so that still counts, right?

This one is “All I Ask of You” from the musical The Phantom of the Opera. I’ve loved this musical since I was a teenager and it’s one that Jeremy and I saw on our honeymoon in New York City. We also had the tune of it played by a cellist and violinist at our wedding ceremony. Jeremy always likes to tease that we should’ve chosen “The Music of the Night” instead. Because, you know. He secretly thinks that he’s mesmerized me into entering his lair…I mean, marrying him.

And this is part of my favorite poem by E. E. Cummings! I love this poem so much that I chose to have it printed on the paper cones at our wedding that held birdseed and rose petals. Here’s a picture of us from our wedding day:

Both of these quotes explain how I feel about my husband. I haven’t seen much of him the past few days because of his work (Christmas, I love and loathe you at the same time), so I chose to star our love as my third quote! He is my favorite person, ever.
